— Today is the much-anticipated “Harp Attack on the Hill.” That’s when three great blues bands, each with its own blues harmonica (harp) player, will entertain from noon-6 p.m. up at the Shikellamy Overlook across the river from Northumberland.
You can enjoy Nate Meyers and the Aces, the Lipsmackin’ Blues Band and the John Sweeney Band, and it’s all free. In addition, Chris Trasatti and Frank Wicher of the Frank Wicher Band will conduct a pair of music workshops, there will be food and drink, and (did I say this before?) it’s all free. Bring a chair or a blanket and settle in for a great afternoon of music, brought to you by the Friends of Shikellamy State Park.
