SUNBURY — The Susquehanna Art Society is seeking entries for its Annual Art Show to will be held July 9-18 in the Community Room of the Degenstein Community Library, 40 South Fifth St. The show is open to all Pennsylvania artists.
Artists may enter up to three pieces. There is a $5 per piece entry fee. Three levels of experience are offered: Beginner/student; Intermediate and Advanced. Categories include drawing, painting in all mediums, mixed media, photography, sculpture, printmaking and others. In addition to prizes in each of the categories and levels, a Popular Choice winner will be chosen.
Entries must be less than 60 inches, frames, wired and ready to be hung. Stands or pedestals for 3-D works are provided by the artists.
Art works will be received from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday July 3 and from 1-9 p.m. Monday July 6. To speed the registration process, it is suggested that artists provide their own personal address labels to place on the entry forms.
Awards will be presented at the opening reception from 6-9 p.m. Thursday July 9. Last year, $3,000 in prizes were awarded.
The Community Room will be open for viewing the art works during regular library hours.
