WILLIAMSPORT -- Java, Juice & Art Cafe will host an exhibition for September's First Friday in their Main Gallery titled, "Lycoming College Faculty and Student Show."
There will be an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. at the cafe, 125 West Fourth Street, Williamsport. The show will include the work of Howard Tran and students' work from his Drawing II and III classes.
Tran's artwork ranges from figurative sculpture to abstract, two-dimensional pieces.
He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 1998. He received his Master of Fine Arts in sculpture from Boston University in 2000. His work has been exhibited nationally in solo and group exhibitions. Tran is an Assistant Professor of Art at Lycoming College.
