WILLIAMSPORT — The Front Porch Country Band’s six-part harmonies are featured on its new “Christmas Once Upon a Time” album featuring 12 original holiday songs, including the acclaimed Christmas Trilogy of “Come Christmas,” “Beautiful Christmas Boy” and “Come, Let Us Sing.” Originally released as a single, the song “Christmas Once Upon a Time” inspired The Front Porch Country Band to create an album of the same name. When premiered, the title song rose to become the #1 Christmas song on the world’s largest Internet music subscriber system. The gentle holiday love song evokes images of a simple time in life and features acoustic guitars over the gently-rocking bass.
Available to download on iTunes or for purchase from Amazon.com, the hour-long “Christmas Once Upon a Time” album includes song reflections from band members on past Christmases and joyful celebrations of the holiday season.
Song previews and a holiday video from the band can be found online at www.ChristmasOnceUponATime.com.
The Front Porch Country Band was formed in 2001 and has previously released the following albums: “Here We Go Again,” “America Standing Tall,” “Somebody Tonight” and “The World China Tour.” The band’s six singer/songwriters are: Rick Buck of Watsontown on lead guitars and drums; Johnny Jolin of Watsontown, lead vocals and guitars; Joseph Paul Hauserman, Williamsport, vocals, percussion and keyboards; Kim Reichley, Lewisburg, lead vocals, guitars and bass; Alison Rupert, Hughesville, lead vocals and guitars; and Richard Rupert, Hughesville, lead guitars and drums.
The Front Porch Country Band will perform selections from their “Christmas Once Upon a Time” album 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Community Arts Center, Williamsport. A limited number of tickets are still available by visiting www.caclive.com.
