Digital Media Gallery to host exhibit

WILLIAMSPORT — Lycoming College will host “pre-existing condition,” a solo exhibition by Gregory Maxim Burdett in the Digital Media Gallery, Mass Communication building, Friday to Dec. 4.

An opening reception will be held in the gallery Friday from 4:30-6:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public. All other viewings are by appointment.

Burdett’s “pre-existing condition” is an exhibition of animations and works on paper that the artist says “reflect the maturation of an adolescent outlook on masculinity, femininity and the intangible abstract of love.

The animated work in this collection is a continuation of these themes in time and space.”

Burdett is a founding member of Project Super Friends, established in 1999 by a small group of creative individuals with a common love of fine art, graphic design and graffiti. It has grown to include members in Hong Kong, Tokyo and New York.

Burdett has collaborated on a number of mural projects, created multiple Web flyers and produced a variety of live events. His previous exhibitions have included performance, live painting, graffiti, drawing and animation.

Burdett earned a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. His work has been reviewed by The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Boston Phoenix among many other publications.

He has exhibited nationally and internationally.
