SELINSGROVE — A watercolor titled “Welcome Home” by Florence Putterman, of Selinsgrove, has been accepted by the Philadelphia Water Color Society’s 109th Anniversary International Exhibition of Works on Paper. The painting will be displayed at the Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art at Ursinus College in Collegeville through Dec. 18.
The Philadelphia Water Color Club was founded in 1900 in response to the lack of attention given to “aqueous media.” Over the decades, the club has mounted strong exhibitions at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, dignifying the art of watercolor.
