MILTON — The Meadowbrook Christian School will present “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” at 7 p.m. today and Friday in the Family Life Center.
The musical is based on the characters created by the late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his classic comic strip “Peanuts.”
Amanda Brosious, a music teacher at Meadowbrook, is directing the show, along with her husband, Pastor Ryan Brosious.
Kathy Rowe, English teacher at the school, said everything is on schedule and the children are ready for the event.
“The students have been preparing for the musical and we are excited to perform,” she said. “This is such a good thing for us.”
Chaese Pickett, 17, of Lewisburg, who is playing Charlie Brown, spoke about the audition process to being ready to perform.
“After I got the part I couldn’t wait to get started,” he said.
“We rehearse like three times a week so I think we are ready.”
Rosie Haupert, 17, of Williamsport, otherwise known as Sally, agreed.
“We have worked hard and now I think all we have to do is work the little things out but otherwise we are very prepared and excited,” she said.
During the two-day event, Meadowbrook will participate in “Project Linus,” a non-profit program set up for people to donate fleece blankets or buy 1.5 yards of fleece in order to make blankets for sick children across the country.
