The Countryside Contra Dancers of Lewisburg hold their monthly dance this evening from 7:30-10:30 at the Donald Heiter Community Center, 100 N. Fifth St., Lewisburg, with live music by Smash The Windows and Ted Crane calling the dances. All this for $8, and all you have to do is wear soft-soled shoes so you don't damage the floor. They'll even teach you the steps.
Also today, the Legion Riders are holding a Veterans' Rock Dance at Sunbury American Legion Post 201 at 611 Market St., Sunbury, featuring Timothy's Burden and Hour of Judgment, starting at 7 p.m. $5 at the door. Greg Burgess and Beverly Conrad are at Penn's Tavern in Fisher's Ferry, south of Sunbury on Route 147, from 6-9 p.m. Bluesmen PA Crude will be at the Selinsgrove Moose from 9-midnight.
The Nate Myers Trio is at Skeeter's BBQ in Shamokin Dam from 5-8 p.m., and Van Wagner is at the Turkey Hill Brewing Co. near Bloomsburg from 7-9 p.m.
