DANVILLE —
Danville rushed for 325 yards as a team as Sam Dressler and Isaiah Croll each ran for more than 100 yards and combined for 272 yards and three touchdowns as the Ironmen ran away from Jersey Shore 42-14. The Ironmen scored the first 42 points of the game in the first three quarters before the Bulldogs scored a pair of late touchdowns after Danville had pulled most of its starters.
“We decided we wanted to run the football and establish the ground game,” said Keiser. “We weren’t able to do it last week so we did some different things with some different people this week and they came out and they shined.”
Danville averaged more than seven yards per carry as a team while Croll led the way by rushing for 161 yards on just 11 carries, an average of nearly 15 yards a carry. He also had a touchdown while his backfield classmate Dressler finished with 111 on 19 carries and two scores. The Ironmen only went to the air five times and completed just two passes, but both went for touchdowns as Weston Baylor found Cale Rice and Bret Berg once each in the end zone.

SELINSGROVE - If the 2012 edition of The Daily Item All-Stars were not a fictional team, the quarterback would find a familiar downfield target.
