MOUNT CARMEL —
Mount Carmel overwhelmed Hughesville, limiting the Spartans to 25 yards of offense in a 41-13 HAC-II rout at the Silver Bowl.
Six players scored touchdowns for Mount Carmel (5-3), all but one of them on the ground as the team gained 227 rushing yards.
Zach Wasilewski completed 9 of 17 passes for 134 yards and a 10-yard score to Eric Joraskie in the first quarter.
Corey Langton, Bobby Beierschmitt, Danny Lesko, Dominic Farronato and Blake Panko scored rushing TDs. Langton (68 yards) and Panko (61) led the Tornadoes.
Hughesville’s only scores came on a 50-yard interception return in the first quarter and a kick return in the third with Mount Carmel ahead 33-7.
