WILLIAMSPORT —
There were plenty of milestones to celebrate Wednesday following the District 4 boys semifinal game between Selinsgrove and Warrior Run.
Yet only one mattered to Chris Lupolt, and that was the final score on the scoreboard.
David Aurand and Dustin Moyer each scored twice and the Seals knocked off the previously undefeated Defenders, 5-2, to advance to Saturday’s Class AA championship game against Lewisburg.
In the process, Lupolt notched his 100th career win at the helm of the Selinsgrove boys program.
“It’s a nice accomplishment but winning the match and moving on was more important,” Lupolt said.
In addition, Aurand with his two goals tied Casey Moyer’s single-season team mark of 33, and the senior midfielder has at least one more match to break the deadlock.
