MIFFLINBURG -- Mifflinburg coach Dave Murray said the decision this season to seriously upgrade the schedule was made by the wrestlers. But facing the likes of Blair Academy (N.J.), ranked No. 1 in the nation, and Germantown Academy in the National High School Wrestling Coaches Association Festival in Brodheadsville earlier this month could certainly adversely affect the Wildcats' seeding for the District 4 Class AA Duals Tournament.

MANDATA -- A CD playing their warm-up music skipped for a spell, but that was all that went wrong for Line Mountain's girls Saturday. The unbeaten Eagles put together a crippling run bridging the middle quarters to shake Mifflinburg and storm to a 66-29 nonleague win.

MANDATA -- With only a week left to qualify for the District 4 Dual Tournament, Line Mountain coach Mike Martz knew his own tournament Saturday could make or break the Eagles' chances. But the Eagles are breathing a little easier today, having improved from 4-2 to 8-2 with a 4-0 record in the five-team Line Mountain Duals Tournament.
