DANVILLE — Tops on the list of teams that give Danville the most problems is Jersey Shore. But close behind is Montoursville.
The Warriors gave the Ironmen headaches once again Wednesday, this time by taking a 3-2 victory in a Heartland Athletic Conference Division I matchup that was as close as the score indicated.
Montoursville got the win by claiming victories at No.
1 singles and in both doubles matches — Danville’s Achilles’ heel.
In the No. 1 singles match, Carrie Durrwachter outdueled Lili McKinley after the latter opened with a 6-4 win in the first set.
Durrwachter bounced back with a 7-5 win in the.ext set before closing it out with a 6-3 win in the third.
Danville (2-3) claimed wins in the other two singles matches as Brittany Grubb defeated Kara Meyer 6-1, 6-1; and Shannon Sheridan beat Gabby Horn 6-3, 6-2.
However, in the two doubles matches Montoursville handed it to Danville.
Brooke Devito and Delainey Loedding gave up just one game to beat sisters Anna and Abby Schafer, 6-0, 6-1. At No. 2 doubles, Taylor Dougherty and Mariah Way beat Montanah James and Katharine Baum, 6-2, 6-1.
After facing a tough Division I foe, Danville will go out of its division to play at Central Columbia on Tuesday before hosting Selinsgrove on Thursday.
Jersey Shore 5, Shikellamy 0
SUNBURY — The Bulldogs won every match in straight sets to take the HAC-I victory. Jersey Shore improves to 3-1, while Shikellamy falls to 1-2.
Williamsport 4, Milton 1
WILLIAMSPORT — The Black Panthers picked up a win at No. 1 doubles, but that was it as the Millionaires took the HAC-I win.
At No. 1 doubles Ashley Fridline and Jessica Eversole beat Trisha Synoracki and Olivia Kuzio 6-2, 6-4 for Milton (0-4).
Hughesville 3, Lewisburg 2
LEWISBURG — The Spartans took a three-set win at No. 3 singles before sweeping both doubles matches to take the HAC-II victory.
Getting wins for Lewisburg (2-2) were Sarah Graber at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-3; and Laura Sprunt at No. 2 singles, 7-6 (2), 6-1.

SELINSGROVE — The Seals picked up their first win of the season by convincingly winning two singles matches and both doubles matches in dramatic fashion.
At No. 1 doubles, Katie Kirchner and Frankie Damiano picked up a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win in the No. 1 match before Maggie Lemons and Hunter Shaffer took a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win in the.
o. 2 match for Selinsgrove (1-3).

JERSEY SHORE — Selinsgrove leap-frogged back into first place in the division by bettering runner-up and previous division leader Midd- West by 14 strokes, 432-446, at Clinton Country Club.
Derrick Geedey led the Seals (19.5-1.5) with a 10-over-par 83. Ryan Hammaker followed with an 85 and Chris Burke had an 87 while Matt Morris and Colin Rice rounded out the scorers with an 88 and 89, respectively.
Leading Midd-West (19-2) on the day was Ben Snyder and his 85. ach Stuck and Blake echman both added 88s for the Mustangs.
Shikellamy finished fifth with a 459.
C.J. Tyler claimed top medalist honors for the Braves with an 81. Dakota Portzline added an 86 for the Braves.
