SOFTBALL
TURBOTVILLE -- Warrior Run rallied for five runs in the sixth inning to come back and take an 8-6 victory over Danville in a Heartland Athletic Conference inter-divisional matchup on Tuesday.
Ashley Borges had the big hit in the sixth for Warrior Run (5-2) with a two-run single. Sara Byers and Maddie Bird added RBI singles in the frame for the Defenders.
Beth Bonnell led Warrior Run at the plate by getting three hits, one of which was a double. Danville falls to 3-5.
Line Mountain 15, Millersburg 10
MANDATA -- Maggie Fessler's bat and arm led the Eagles to the Tri-Valley League victory.
At the plate Fessler went 4-for-5, tripled twice and drove in four runs. In the circle she went the distance and had 10 strikeouts and two walks.
Also for Line Mountain, Kasey Long went 3-for-5 and scored four runs.
Mount Carmel 15, Lourdes Reg. 5 (6 inn.)
MOUNT CARMEL -- The Red Tornadoes took advantage of six Red Raiders' errors in the fifth inning to score seven runs en route to the non-league win.

COAL TOWNSHIP -- A seven-run fifth inning ended the game early, and in doing so it gave the Red Tornadoes their 600th win in program history. Jeremy Yacobacci and Trevor Demko each went 2-for-3 to lead Mount Carmel (6-3) on the day. Lourdes falls to 1-4.
Line Mountain 18, Newport 8 (6 innings)
MANDATA -- Travis Dunkelberger's grand slam home run in the fifth inning gave the Eagles a 10-8 lead and they never looked back to take the Tri-Valley League victory. Dunkelberger, Jachin Spotts, Jordan Welker and Wade Michael had three hits apiece for Line Mountain (5-2, 5-0 TVL).
BOYS TRACK
Selinsgrove 77.5, Williamsport 72.5
WILLIAMSPORT -- Vince Fadale won the 1,600 (4:32.9), the 3,200 (10:09.06) and he ran a leg on the victorious 3,200 relay team as the Seals took the Heartland Athletic Conference Division I victory. Selinsgrove improves to 6-0, 5-0 in the conference.
Danville 78, Jer. Shore 72
JERSEY SHORE -- Mikeal Owens-Wright won three individual events as the Ironmen held off the Bulldogs for the HAC-I win. Wright won the 100 (11.4), 200 (23.3) and the 400 (54.6) for Danville (2-2, 2-1 HAC-I).
Warrior Run 110, South Williamsport 38
TURBOTVILLE -- Chris Pfirman's wins in the triple jump (38-5) and pole vault (11-6) helped the Defenders to the HAC-III win.
Southern Columbia 119, Montgomery 31
CATAWISSA -- Tony Drain and Sam Springer won three events apiece as the Tigers took the HAC-III win.
Drain won both hurdle races and the 400 relay, while Springer won the 100 and 200-meter sprints and also the 400 relay for Southern.
Central Columbia 89, Mifflinburg 61
ALMEDIA -- Jon Himes was a three-event winner, but the Wildcats fell in the HAC-II meet. Himes took the 400 (55.03) and he ran legs on the victorious 1,600 and 3,200 relays.
GIRLS TRACK
Selinsgrove 123, Williamsport 27
WILLIAMSPORT -- Rebecca Laniewski broke her own record in the pole vault as the Seals took the Heartland Athletic Conference Division I victory.
Laniewski vaulted 10 feet, 6 inches to break her old mark of 10-3 she set earlier this year for Selinsgrove (4-1, 2-1 HAC-I).
Danville 94, Jer. Shore 56
JERSEY SHORE -- Ashley Daniels won 800 and the 1,600 and Sam Zampetti won both of the sprints as the Ironmen took the HAC-I win.
Daniels took the 800 in 2:39.7 and the 1,600 in 5:50.4, while Zampetti won the 100 in 13.1 seconds and the 200 in 27.7 for Danville (3-1, 3-0 HAC-I).
Warrior Run 124, South Williamsport 26
TURBOTVILLE -- The Defenders gave up only two points in the track events as they ran away for the HAC-III victory. Cortney Ranck (long jump, triple jump) and Makenzie Stover (100, 400R) were double-event winners for Warrior Run (7-0).
Southern Columbia 116, Montgomery 34
CATAWISSA -- Cynthia Adams was a four-event winner as the Tigers took the HAC-III victory. Individually, Adams won the 800 (2:38.7) and the 1,600 (5:47.4), while she also ran legs on the winning 1,600 and 3,200 relays.
Central Columbia 87, Mifflinburg 63
ALMEDIA -- Katy Fogel was a three-event winner for the Wildcats, but it wasn't enough as they fell in the HAC-II meet.
Fogel won both hurdle races in 16.72 and 51.32 seconds, respectively.
BOYS TENNIS
Selinsgrove 4, Milton 1
SELINSGROVE -- Jordan Unroe's win at No. 3 singles prevented the Black Panthers from being shutout.
Highlighting Selinsgrove's (3-6) day was a three-set win by Scott Gehman and Jordan Ettinger at No. 2 doubles, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
St. John Neumann 3, Lewisburg 2
LEWISBURG-- Michael Clark picked up a straight-set win at No. 3 singles for Lewisburg, but St. John Neumann won two singles matches and a three-setter at No. 2 doubles. Seth Young and Brandon Reid also won a three-set match for Lewisburg at No. singles.

Midd-West 15, Mifflinburg 2
MIFFLINBURG -- Emily Kline and Cortney Bingman scored four goals each to lead the Mustangs.

From that point on Bison coach Frank Fedorjaka has had a difficult time getting big-time opponents on the schedule, even with Bucknell opting to travel under the worst of circumstances.

And on Wednesday night, it looked like the Braves were going to go quietly into the offseason when Selinsgrove built a 14-point lead early in the third quarter.

It's difficult to recall exactly how the sequence unfolded because it happened so darn fast. Shikellamy made a couple baskets, and the crowd began to stir. It was still anybody's game, and the Braves had some momentum late in the third quarter of a recent run with Danville.
