GIRLS BASKETBALL

WILLIAMSPORT -- For 28 minutes Shikellamy trailed Williamsport in their nonleague matchup on Monday.

The Braves took their first lead with four minutes left in the contest, but it was short-lived as the Millionaires would pull away for a 47-38 victory.

Shikellamy (9-4) turned the ball over three straight times after taking that lead, and then the Braves resorted to fouling and Williamsport won the game from the foul line at the end of the game.

Megan Slonaker was a force for Shikellamy inside as she finished with a game-high 18 points and eight rebounds. Emily Daddario had 12 rebounds and seven steals to go along with her two points for the Braves.

Greenwood 47, Selinsgrove 36

MILLERSTOWN -- The Wildcats started the game in an 8-0 hole, but then they woke up and held the Seals to six points in the second quarter and just one in the fourth to take the nonleague victory.

Greenwood (9-4) outscored Selinsgrove (4-6) 14-1 in the fourth quarter thanks to Autumn Pellman scoring nine of her 15 points in the final period.

Pellman, who was also 7-of-10 from the free throw line, helped seal the game as the Wildcats scored eight points from the charity stripe in the fourth.

Salene Shaffer also had 15 points for Greenwood, and she was 3-of-4 from the foul line late in the game.

Brianna Brancato led Selinsgrove with 11 points.
