LEWISBURG — Ben Koch, Kerry Shutt and Russell Nash had little trouble giving Lewisburg a sweep of the singles matches Thursday afternoon as the Green Dragons blanked Montoursville 5-0 in the opening match of the season for both teams.
Koch and Shutt won 6-0, 6-0 in their singles matches sets while Nash, at No. 3, dropped just one game in a straight-set 6-1, 6-0 victory.
In doubles, Jordan Massoud and Tim Weisbarth won 6-2, 6-2 and Mike McCormack and Wes Sigl won 6-0, 6-0.

Selinsgrove 4, Bloomsburg 1
Selinsgrove’s Theron Fravel lost a close match to Bloomsburg’s Jarrad Harris at No. 3 singles, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5), but the Seals secured a win en route to a 2-0 start on the season.
Rob Smith won at No. 1 for Selinsgrove, 6-3, 6-4 while Safwan Kahn won at No. 2, 6-1, 6-4.
The Seals host Williamsport on Monday.
Danville 4, Jersey Shore 1
Danville’s Nicholas Zotalis lost at No. 3 singles in a tie-breaker on the third set to Jersey Shore’s Derrick Palski, but that’d be the only match that the Bulldogs would win on the night as the Ironmen won their season-opener on Wednesday.
Steven Zhang and Chris Zhang won for Danville at No. 1 and 2 singles, respectively.
The Ironmen (1-0) host Shikellamy on Monday.
