BEAVER SPRINGS -- Jeremy Yacobacci's two triples led Shamokin-Mount Carmel to a 10-7 victory over West Snyder on Tuesday night. Nick Asimbaya also added a triple and scored a run as Shamokin-Mount Carmel scored five runs in the sixth inning to take the lead.
Levi Shirk was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored to lead West Snyder. Kyle Pannabaker was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Chris Will was 2-for-3 for West Snyder.
Yacobacci also added a sacrifice fly and Owen Hager notched two hits for Shamokin-Mount Carmel. West Snyder falls to 2-9 and will now face an opponent yet to be determined in the first round of the American Legion West Branch League playoffs.
