WILLIAMSPORT —
While a familiar name on the golf scene reclaimed past glory, a new name became a part of history Thursday at the District 4 Golf Team Championships at the Williamsport Country Club.
C.J. Tyler carded a 72 to lead the field but more importantly helped Shikellamy collect its first district team championship while Austin Renz finished with a field-low 71 to help Danville unseat Central Columbia and collect the AA team title. Both teams earned a berth in next week’s sub-regional event at Scott Run Country Club against the District 2 AAA and AA titlists.
