SUNBURY — The Mountain Presbyterian Church was the setting for the ceremony uniting Laura Elizabeth Owen and Travis William Beckman in marriage. Pastor Robert Reich performed the service on Dec. 29, 2012.
The bride is the daughter of Drake and Marianne Owen, of Northumberland. The bridegroom is the son of Hermann Beckman and Carol Beckman, both of Sunbury.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was Jessica Walters. Bridesmaids were Tiffany Berry and Breanne Armitt. Flower girl was Audrey Berry, daughter of Paul and Tiffany Berry.
Serving as best man was Tim Burgess. Groomsmen were Paul Berry and Garrett Bloom.
Readers and guest book attendants were Lacee and Sasha Beckman, sisters of the bridegroom. Pianist was Pastor Ryan Brosious, worship arts pastor at Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton.
A reception followed at Priestley-Savidge Parkview, Sunbury.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Shikellamy High School and a graduate of Bloomsburg and Villanova universities with a master’s degree in criminal justice. She is working as a research assistant on a doctorate degree in criminology/criminal justice at Arizona State University.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Shikellamy High School and a graduate of Susquehanna University with a degree in accounting and finance.
Following a honeymoon to Sedona, Ariz., the couple is living in Phoenix, Ariz.
