NAGS HEAD, N.C. — Nags Head was the setting for the 4:30 p.m. September 2012 ceremony uniting Whitney Marie Harner and Douglas Levi Shirk in marriage.
The bride is the daughter of Bradley and Donna Harner, of Middleburg. The bridegroom is the son of Dana Shirk and Dean Shirk, of Selinsgrove.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose her sister, Laura Harner, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tanya Brubaker, cousin of the bride, and Danielle Klinger. Flower girl was Audrina Brunson, niece of the bride.
Serving as best man was Jared Sprenkel. Groomsmen were Bradley Stroup and Kyle Hood. Ring bearer was Austin Brubaker, cousin of the bride.
A reception for 50 guests followed at 108 Budleigh, Manteo, N.C.
The newly married couple enjoyed the rest of the week at Nags Head with several family members and friends.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Midd-West High School and SUN Area Career and Technical Institute. She is employed by Total Concept Hair Salon, Selinsgrove.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of the same high school and a 2009 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering. He is employed by Lycoming Engine, Williamsport.
The couple is living in Lewisburg.
