LEWISBURG — Rooke Chapel was the setting for the ceremony uniting Bethanie R. Steese and Joshua C. Allen in marriage. Pastor Ken Paulhamus performed the service on Oct. 20, 2012.
The bride is the daughter of Tod Steese, of Mifflinburg, and Todd and Cindie Lytle, of Watsontown. The bridegroom is the son of Steve and Kim Allen, of New Columbia.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and step-father. Maid of honor was Krysta Allen, sister of the bridegroom. Matron of honor was Laura Vollers. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Rogers, Savannah Stovall, and Amy Matlock.
Serving as best man for his brother was Michael Allen. Groomsmen were Kyle Steese, brother of the bride, Rick Matlock, Derek Waughen, and Brent Herman.
Special music was provided by Cate Striplin, while Josh and Bethanie symbolized their unity by tying a knot with rope.
A reception for 225 guests was held at the Watson Inn, Watsontown, where Josh and Bethanie had their first date.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Warrior Run High School and a graduate of Elizabethtown College with a master’s degree in occupational therapy. She is employed as an occupational therapist and assistant program manager for Genesis Rehabilitation Services.
The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Milton High School and a graduate of Delaware Valley College with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration. He is employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and is also a self-employed contractor.
Following a honeymoon to Riviera Maya, the couple is living in New Columbia.
