ELYSBURG — Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church was the setting for the ceremony uniting Ingrid Barnes and Nicholas Podgurski in marriage. The Rev. Alfred P. Sceski performed the service at 2 p.m. Oct. 22, 2011.
The bride is the daughter of Barry and Judith Barnes, of Elysburg. The bridegroom is the son of John and Mary Podgurski, also of Elysburg.
The bride, wearing an ivory empire wedding gown, was given in marriage by her father. Alison Stern served as maid of honor, and Dorrie Joiner, Melissa Reifsnyder and Jill Thomas as bridesmaids. Cameryn Sock and Ella Podgurski, nieces to the couple, were flower girls.
John Podgurski was the best man, with Justin Barnes, Bryan Thomas and Aaron Wegrzynowicz serving as groomsmen. Joseph Walbert, uncle to the bridegroom, served as reader during the ceremony. Organist Anne Rutkoskie and cantor Beth Bembenek provided music.
A reception followed at the Wayside Inn, Paxinos.
Following a honeymoon to Hawaii, the couple is living in Elysburg.
The bride is employed by the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau as the director of marketing.
The bridegroom is employed by North Shore Railroad.
