MENDON, Vt. — The Red Clover Inn was the setting for the ceremony uniting Karin Anne Reed and Ryosuke “Rusty” Kawatsuji in marriage. Benjamin Wood performed the June 23, 2012 service.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Janet Reed, of Mifflinburg. The bridegroom is the son of Mitsusuke and Miyoko Kawatsuji, of Osaka, Japan.
The bride chose Chastidy Shuck, of Mifflinburg, Pa., as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Nicole Reed, of Williamsport, Pa., sister-in-law of the bride, and Katey Brand, of New York.
Serving as bestman for his brother was Yusuke Kawatsuji, of Texas. Groomsmen were Michael Reed, of Williamsport, brother of the bride, and Christopher Yen, of Montana.
The bride is a graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School, Pennsylvania State University, and Drexel University College of Medicine. She is a Fellow in the child and adolescent psychiatry program at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Rye High School, Tufts University, and Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general adult psychiatry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He is a staff psychiatrist in New Hampshire.
Following a honeymoon to Spain, the couple is living in New Hampshire.
