PITTSBURGH — Donna Iannone, of Pittsburgh, announces the engagement of her daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Christine Iannone, to Dr. John “Jay” Lewis Martello, of Morgantown, W.Va., son of John and Karen Martello, of Milton.
The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of North Western Allegheny High School and a 2008 graduate of The University of Pittsburgh in molecular biology. She received her degree in medicine from Temple University in 2012, and is a resident in emergency medicine at UPMC in Pittsburgh.
Her fiance is a 2002 graduate of Milton Area Senior High School. He graduated from the Mylan School of Pharmacy, Duquesne University, in 2008, and served a two year residency in internal medicine at The University of Pittsburgh and West Virginia University finishing in 2010. He is employed by the West Virginia University Hospital and School of Pharmacy.
The couple first crossed paths at a Pittsburgh hospital and became engaged in the idyllic setting of St. John’s, United States Virgin Islands.
A summer 2015 wedding is being planned.
