BLOOMSBURG — Katie Cronover and Shane Raker, both of Bloomsburg, announce their engagement. Shane proposed to Katie in Central Park in New York City last Christmas.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Janet and William Moore, of Watsontown, and the late Mark Cronover. She is a 2004 graduate of Warrior Run High School, a 2008 graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in nursing, and is attending the University of Cincinnati’s masters of science in nursing program to become a certified nurse midwife. She is employed as a registered nurse in labor and delivery at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Her fiance is the son of Kim Raker, of Selinsgrove, and Larry Raker, of Sunbury. He is a 2003 graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School and a 2008 graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. He is employed as a registered nurse in medical surgical at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
An April 24, 2013, wedding at Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, Fla., is being planned.
