SELINSGROVE — Mike and Michelle Schlenker, of Selinsgrove, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Schlenker, of Germantown, Md. to Mike Valentin, also of Germantown.
The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School and a 2007 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor of science degree in biology education. She teaches chemistry and biology at Quince Orchard High School, Germantown.
Her fiancé is the son of Ava Valentin, of Olney, Md. and Juan Valentin, of Elkridge, Md. He is a 2002 graduate of Sherwood High School and received his bachelor of science degree in psychology from Towson University in 2007. In 2011, he earned his master’s degree from Towson University in special education. He is a teacher at Rock Terrace High School.
A June 29, 2013 wedding in Selinsgrove is being planned.
