SELINSGROVE — Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hoffman, of Selinsgrove, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently with a party at Christ United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove. The event for 65 guests was hosted by their children.
They were married Jan. 19, 1963, at United Church of Christ, New Berlin, by the Rev. Andrew Horne Jr.
Mrs. Hoffman, the former Donna Miller, is the daughter of the late Harry and Genevieve Miller. She worked as a nurse aide for many years at Penn Lutheran Village, and retired from its activity department.
Her husband is the son of the late Maynard and Mildred Hoffman. He is retired from Hall’s Motor Transit and Hess Trucking Company, both of Mechanicsburg. He works part-time at Rich’s Transportation in Northumberland.
They are the parents of four children, Daryl Hoffman (Wendy), of Millheim; Detra (Tim) Dodge, of Mifflinburg, and Danette (Curt) Pope, and Crystal Hoffman, all of Selinsgrove. There are also 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren, Jenna Pope and Nathaniel Hoffman, are deceased.
