LEWISBURG — David and Lois Weary, of Lewisburg, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 1, 2011. The former Lois Blyler married Dave in the E.U.B. Church, Mazeppa, with the Rev. J.A. Corle officiating.
Dave is retired from PG Energy with 36 years of service. Lois worked at the IGA in Mifflinburg, at Hillside Christian Academy, and for many years at Purity Candy Company.
The couple have six children: Diane, wife of Scott Reigle, of Mifflinburg; David Jr., husband of Brenda Woolsey, of Milton; Melodie, wife of Pastor Kevin Rathmell, of Mount Pleasant Mills; Lori Beth, of Suffolk, Va., Pastor Jeremy, husband of Laura Weaver, of West Plains, Mo., and Jonathan, in the presence of the Lord Jesus. They are blessed with 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Dave and Lois enjoyed a three-week trip touring the United States in celebration of their anniversary. Their family surprised them with an anniversary party on Nov. 26 at Hillside Bible Church, where Dave serves as song leader/choir director. Approximately 150 family members and friends attended.
