SUNBURY — Mr. and Mrs. William “Bill” Scandle, of Sunbury, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently. The couple will take a cruise to the Bahamas this winter.
They were married Sept. 21, 1962, in Lincoln Street Methodist Church, Shamokin.
Mrs. Scandle, the former Bonnie Stroup, is the daughter of June Stroup, of Elysburg and the late William Stroup.
Her husband is the son of the late William and Dorothy Scandle.
They are members of Stonington Baptist Church, enjoy traveling, and are employed by Knoebels Amusement Resort where Mr. Scandle is operations manager.
They are the parents of four children, Brenda and husband Lester McKinnon, of Tampa, Fla., Brian and wife Jeanne, of Snydertown, Pa., Bethany and husband Jeff Edmunds, of Selinsgrove, and Michael Scandle, of Brandon, Fla. There are also five grandchildren, Troy Scholl, Kyle Scholl, Erica Scholl, Jacob Edmunds and Christina Edmunds,
