WATSONTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Ralph O. Young Jr., of Watsontown observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 2. The couple were married on Feb. 2, 1962 at First Lutheran Church, Watsontown.
Mrs. Young is a native of Watsontown and the former Vera Marie Auker, daughter of the late Luke and Lillian Auker. She graduated from Warrior Run High School in 1959 and is employed by Lewisburg Builders Supply, Lewisburg.
Mr. Young is also a native of Watsontown and the son of the late Ralph O. Young Sr. and Eva Young. He is a 1959 graduate of Warrior Run High School and served in the Navy. He is retired from Norka and now volunteers at the Gift Shop at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
They are the parents of a son, Tony Young, of Milton, and a daughter, Justine Peace, of Watsontown, and have three grandchildren, Chamonix Young White, of Kearney, Neb., Dylan Peace, of Muncy and Luke Young, of Milton. They also have a great-grandson, Talyn White, of Kearney.
Ralph and Vera were honored at festivities hosted by their children at their church and plan to take an 11-day cruise to the Caribbean.
