SUNBURY — Harold and Beulah Tobias, of North Eighth Street, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary tomorrow, Dec. 12, 2011 . They were married on Dec. 12, 1941 at Zion Lutheran Church, Sunbury by the Rev. Wood.
Mrs. Tobias is the former Beulah Dagle, daughter of the late Howard and Helen Dagle. She was employed at the Sunbury Silk Mill. She has been a Sunday school teacher, and has enjoyed gardening and her involvement with meals on wheels.
Mr. Tobias is the son of the late John and Elizabeth Tobias. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad, and retired from the Sunbury Post Office. He served in the army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He taught Sunday school for 40 years, and has enjoyed gardening and playing golf.
The couple are the parents of two sons, Terry, who passed away in 1965, and John Tobias, of RD # 1 Sunbury. They have two grandchildren, Stephanie Carey and Kevin Tobias, of Kulpmont, and two great-grandchildren, Karch and Conner Carey.
