McEWENSVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Russ Hering, of McEwensville celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary recently.
They were married July 1, 1972, at Ashler Manor, Muncy, by the Rev. Graham Freeman.
Mrs. Hering, the former Anita Free, is the daughter of the late Blanche and Harry Free Jr. She was employed by Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove.
Her husband is the son of the late Vera and Harry Hering. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired in 2010 from Textron Lycoming, Williamsport, after 40 years of service.
They are members of St. John’s United Church of Christ, McEwensville.
They are the parents of three children, Kristy (Shawn) McNett, of Watsontown, Andrew (Ashley) Hering, of McEwensville, and Amanda Hering (Brian Sauers), of Williamsport. There are also eight grandchildren.
They couple is planning a trip to Hawaii in December.
