MILTON — Ross and Ardith Browne, of Milton, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 2, 2011. Led by the Rev. MacKenzie Scott, the couple renewed their vows at First Baptist Church, Lewisburg, and enjoyed a lovely family dinner in Lewisburg, hosted by their children.
The couple started their long and wonderful journey when they married Dec. 2, 1961 at St. Helena’s Church in Bronx, N.Y.
Mrs. Browne is the former Ardith Martin, daughter of the late Hugh and Edith Martin. She is a volunteer at Evangelical Community Hospital.
Mr. Browne is the son of the late Ross and Lillian Browne. Ross works in sales for an import/export company in the food commodities business.
The Brownes have four children, Ross, Paul, Alison and Colin, as well as three daughters-in-law, Kathy, Laura and Jamie. They have also been blessed with 12 terrific grandchildren, Ross, Joseph, Kymberly, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Paul, Samantha, Victoria, Mackenzie, Ryan, Brendan and Owen.
