McCLURE — Dale and Eva Hurliman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by hosting a three day party for relatives at Mountain Dale Farm near McClure. Thirty-two guests came from California, Oregon, Iowa, New York, and Maryland. The party was organized by their son and his wife, Eric and Mor Hurliman, of Glenford, N.Y., and their daughter and her husband, Carol and David Trivett, of Cockeysville, Md. Mor Hurliman provided the food for the event.
They were married June 10, 1962, at the home of Dr. Elizabeth Jiras, Eva’s aunt. They moved to rural Beavertown in 1970.
Mrs. Hurliman taught at Susquehanna, substituted in the Midd-West School District, was 4-H Agent for Snyder County, and washed dishes at the Maples. Mr. Hurliman taught at Bucknell and Susquehanna universities.
The Hurlimans have the two children mentioned above and four grandchildren.
