LEWISBURG — David and Susan Surgala, of Lewisburg, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Surgala, to Scott Michael Wasilko, son of Michael and Laurie Wasilko, of Philipsburg.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Lewisburg Area High School and a 2009 graduate of Bucknell University where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education. She is pursuing her master’s degree in higher education and student affairs at The University of Vermont and working for their alumni relations office. She will graduate in May 2011.
Her fiance is a 2004 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola Area Senior High School and a 2008 graduate of Bucknell University, where he graduated magna cum laude while earning dual bachelor’s degrees in biology and sociology. He is a third-year medical student at The University of Vermont College of Medicine and will graduate in May 2012 before pursuing his medical residency.
The wedding will take place at Rooke Chapel on the Bucknell University campus on July 2, 2011.
