BEAVERTOWN — Beavertown United Methodist Church was the setting for the ceremony joining Amanda Brooke Shaffer and Casey L. Rothrock in marriage. Pastor Kathy Mercado performed the vows at 11 a.m. June 20.
The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Cynthia Shaffer, of Beavertown. The bridegroom is the son of Patricia Pannebaker, of Clearfield, and the late Jesse Rothrock.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Amanda Sanko, of Exton, to be her maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Kate Koch, of Selinsgrove. Flower girls were Danielle Fetterolf, of Beavertown, and Jilia Pannebaker, of Lewisburg, the bridegroom’s niece.
Bryan Pannebaker, of Duncannon, was best man for his brother. Groomsman was Aaron Pannebaker, of Lemoyne, the bridegroom’s brother.
A reception for 110 guests was held at Tedd’s on the Hill.
Following a honeymoon through the New England states, the couple are residing in Liverpool.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of West Snyder High School and a 2008 graduate of Mansfield University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed as a substitute teacher in local school districts.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. He served four years in the Army, Third Infantry Division, stationed at Fort Stewart, Ga., and served two years in Iraq. He is a mechanical technician at Fort Indiantown Gap and serves in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
