HERNDON — Leonard and Shirley Lubold, of Herndon, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today at festivities at Hickory Corners Firehouse.
The couple were married on Nov. 15, 1959, by Pastor Robert Gast at St. Luke Church, Malta.
Mrs. Lubold is the former Shirley Stitley, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris Stitley. She is a retired seamstress.
Mr. Lubold is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lubold and is retired from farming.
The couple are the parents of Leonard A. Lubold, of Herndon, Joyce Schwartz, of Philadelphia, Richard Lubold, of New Castle, Va., and Esther Haupt, of McAdoo. They have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
