Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Graybill


MIDDLEBURG — Irvin and Jane (Summy) Graybill, of Middleburg, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a luncheon hosted by their children and attended by their family and friends.

The couple were married June 26, 1959, in the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren. They met after Jane, a graduate of Juniata College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work, came to Middleburg as the first director of the Snyder County Child Welfare Office. Her bridegroom, a graduate of Bucknell University and Harvard Law School, was district attorney of Snyder County at the time of their marriage.

Jane is retired from the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit. Irvin continues his law practice at his office in Middleburg.

The couple have three children; two sons, John and his wife, Barbara (Brose), of Salina, Calif., and Guilford and his wife, Elizabeth (Banzoh), of Raleigh, N.C., and a daughter, Ann and her husband, William Felter, of Lititz. They also have four grandchildren, Nicholas and Patrick Felter, and Madeline and Lillian Graybill.
