NORTHUMBERLAND — William and Mollie (Troxell) Geise, of 2895 Point Township Drive, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a gathering of their family. They were married on Jan. 16, 1960, by the Rev. Arthur Malles at the First Baptist Church, Sunbury.
Mollie is the daughter of the late Fred and Anna Troxell. She has worked in the laboratory at Geisinger Medical Center, Evangelical Community Hospital and on the family farm.
Bill is the son of the late Samuel Geise and the late Margaret Edgar Geise McCreary. He has been a farmer since 1954 and purchased his present farm in 1958. The Geises have raised market hogs for 32 years and continue to operate a sweet corn and vegetable farm market. They are members of Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, Sunbury, and are active in the Northumberland County Farm Bureau.
Bill and Mollie have two children and their spouses, Bill Jr. and his wife Marti Geise, of Northumberland, and Betsy and Earl Buckley, of Campbell, N,Y. They have three granddaughters, Melissa and Sarah Geise, and Emma Buckley.
