NORTHUMBERLAND — Jill Leigh Carr and David Scott Bodmer, DPM, both of Northumberland, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joanne Carr of Northumberland. She is the granddaughter of Nancy Bickel, of Selinsgrove and the late Harry Bickel. She is a 1989 graduate of Shikellamy High School and attended Cedarville University in Ohio. She is employed as an insurance agent by the Sholley Agency, Lewisburg.
Her fiance is the son of Bette Bodmer, of Selinsgrove, and the late Dr. Eugene Bodmer. He is a 1988 graduate of Selinsgrove High School, a 1992 graduate of Lycoming College, and a 1996 graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He is a self-employed podiatrist.
A wedding is planned for Oct. 18 at the Priestly-Savidge House in Northumberland.
