Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hurnyak


DANVILLE — Andrew and Georgine Hurnyak, of Danville, recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary with a family luncheon at the Pine Barn Inn. The couple were married Jan. 16, 1946, at the English Congregational Church, Lansford, by the Rev. Dr. Stephen Hurnyak, the brother of the bridegroom.

Mr. Hurnyak is the son of the late Joseph and Mary Hurnyak. He retired from the Prudential Insurance Company of America in 1982.

Mrs. Hurnyak is the former Georgine Eames, daughter of the late George and Edna Eames.

The couple are members of the First Baptist Church, Danville, where Mr. Hurnyak serves as secretary of the adult Sunday School class.

Attending the anniversary luncheon were the Hurnyak’s two children, daughter Marna Brosious and her husband, Tim, of Northumberland and son Allen and his wife, Laura, of Clarks Summit. The couple’s grandchildren attended the lunch: Kimberly Brosious Buckley and her husband, Brian, of Harrisburg; Eric Hurnyak and his wife, Carol, of Sound Beach, N.Y. and Mike and Katie Robertson, of Clarks Summit. Their three great-granddaughters, Hannah and Rebecca Buckley and Alexa Hurnyak also attended.
