MILTON — Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Gifford recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Feb. 5, 1960, by the Rev. E. William Hall at the Calvary Methodist Church in Frederick, Md.
Mrs. Gifford is the former Doris Shoemaker, daughter of the late Thomas and Irene Shoemaker, of Watsontown.
Mr. Gifford is the son of the late Beulah and Ephraim Gifford.
The couple have two children, Jeffrey Gifford, of Milton, and Renee Schweikart, of Mifflinburg.
They also have a granddaughter and her husband, Amber and William Reed, as well as two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Bethany Reed, all of Mifflinburg.
A trip to celebrate their anniversary is being planned.
