DANVILLE — Gary and Patricia Wertman, of Danville, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca F. Wertman, of Chapel Hill, N.C., to Ryan C. Bialas, also of Chapel Hill.
The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Danville Area High School. She received bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and biology from the University of North Carolina in 2005.
She expects to receive her master’s in public health this spring from the UNC School of Medicine, and her M.D. degree from the UNC School of Medicine in 2011.
Her fiance is the son of Dr. Robert and Mrs. Marianne Bialas, of Clearwater, Fla. He is a graduate of Clearwater Central Catholic High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Carolina. He will receive his master’s in public health from the same university this spring, and expects to receive his M.D. degree in 2011.
A wedding is being planned for the spring of 2011.
