SELINSGROVE — James D. and Marion J. (Herrold) Tompkins, of Salem Manor Court, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 26, 2009, at a surprise dinner at Front Street Station, Northumberland, hosted by their daughters and son-in-law, Sabrina and Martin Sickle, of Selinsgrove and Melisa Thompson of Virginia. They were married Dec. 26, 1959, at Zion Lutheran Church, Kratzerville by the Rev. Richard Geib.
Jim retired from AMP, Inc. in 1998 and works part-time at Aubrey Alexander Toyota.
Marion retired from the Selinsgrove Borough Police Department in 1998.
In addition to their two daughters and son-in-law, they have three grandchildren, Colby Zechman, Nicole Amos and husband Chris, Ryan Thompson and 3 step-grandchildren, Courtney, David and Andrew Sickle.
Jim and Marion want to thank their family and friends for the cards and gifts and extend a special thank you to their children for a wonderful celebration.
