HERNDON — John and Anna Updegrove, of Herndon, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a party for 30 guests given by their children at the Bonanza Restaurant, New Columbia.
The couple were married on June 11, 1949, at Zion Church, Herndon, by the Rev. Jacob Singer.
Mrs. Updegrove is the former Anna Still, daughter of the late Eugene and Bertha Still. She is a homemaker, and is retired from the Herndon Shoe Factory.
Mr. Updegrove is the son of the late Albert and Mary Updegrove. He is a retired grinder from TRW, Danville.
The couple have two children, a son, Steve, and his wife, Valerie, of Port Matilda, and a daughter, Diane, and her husband, Dennis Delcamp, of Milton. They also have three grandsons, Eric Updegrove and his wife, Cara, Gary Updegrove and his wife, Wendy, and Brad Updegrove, and his wife, Jen.
