I am writing this letter about Northumberland County firing guards and hiring a firm. They are firing great workers and people who deserve these jobs. I personally know a security guard from the courthouse, and he has been there for years, and now just because the county wants to save money, he is going to be jobless, I think this is wrong.
The man I know enjoys his job very much. It’s so hard to find jobs now and yet they want to fire the people just because they want to save money.
The guards now in the courthouse can do just as good as a firm does, maybe even better. Firing the guards at the courthouse, I think, is a big mistake.
