I would like to share my family's wonderful experience attending the Lewisburg-Mifflinburg football game on Friday, Nov. 9, at Bucknell's Christy Mathewson Stadium. Although our home team lost by three points at the end of a very hard played game, I was very proud to have the opportunity to host this local playoff game at such a fabulous stadium. Not many high school players, or even college players (and their supporters -- cheerleaders, marching band, etc.) are able to enjoy the use of just a grand stadium. We are very privileged that Bucknell University has been willing to host our Lewisburg players, fans and supporters all these years. I look forward to the day my two little boys will have an opportunity to play there with the Lewisburg football team.
The Lewisburg Marching Dragons took my breath away with their outstanding performance, both before the game and at halftime. To see them fill the field was so impressive! I give much credit to the director Mr. Justin Hill, for taking 140 talented musicians and creating such a superb and professional presentation. The color guard contributed as well, portraying the show in an impressive fashion. Early mornings and many, many hours of practice makes it all happen. Thank you, Mr. Hill, and all the students for their hard work and dedication!
