I was in awe that the vice chairman of the Snyder County Democratic Committee would publicly criticize the selection of the replacement Snyder County commissioner. It almost appears as a child throwing a temper tantrum because they did not get what they wanted. Why should the committee pick be final? Didn't the judges follow the law?
Mr. Blaine stated: "She has no degree, no budgeting experience, no analytical experience, no computer experience." Who says she doesn't meet the qualifications to do the job?
Just because you have a "resume" that may "outshine" someone else's does not necessarily mean you are more qualified. What does the political affiliation of her husband have to do with anything? If we started looking at appointments to political positions based on friendship, etc., I wonder what we would find? Although I am not a resident of Snyder County, I applaud the judges for selecting the candidate they felt would best represent the interests of the county.
