LEWISBURG —
A high-speed chase through downtown Lewisburg last month finds a Snyder County man now facing 14 charges in Union County, including fleeing from police and driving while intoxicated.
Michael Mullany, 44, of Selinsgrove, was arraigned last month before Magisterial District Judge Leo Armbruster. He is out after bail was decreased to $5,000 and has a preliminary hearing Dec. 20.
Mullany’s charges stem from a motorcycle chase that began at the intersection of Routes 15 and 45 and ended with him crashing the yellow Harley-Davidson motorcycle into a police cruiser. He weaved through back streets of Lewisburg borough and ran six stop signs before a police road block ultimately ended the chase.
Police reported that Mullany allegedly smelled of alcohol. When asked if he had been drinking, Mullany indicated “too much,” the affidavit states.
Mullany was taken to state police barracks at Milton and given an alcohol breath test.
