Update: Forecast holding at 4-5 inches of snow through Thursday

SUNBURY — More snow is on its way, with up to 5 inches expected to fall tonight into Thursday morning, an AccuWeather meteorologist said.

Snow is expected to drop up to 4 to 5 inches on the Valley, said Alan Reppert, a meteorologist with AccuWeather’s State College office.

After the snowfall, precipitation will turn to sleet, freezing rain and possibly rain overnight, Reppert said.

This latest storm comes after about an inch to an inch and a half of snow fell on the Valley on Monday night, Reppert said.

The next chance for snowfall comes Saturday, though it’s unknown how much of the white stuff could be on its way then, Reppert said.
